Mandate of the Laboratory:	It is responsible of pesticide residues analysis, with guaranteed results, improving the competence of the Panamanian producers in the international market, minimizing the risk of possible contamination of the products agricultural and protecting the plant, environmental and human health.
Role in the farm-to-fork chain:	It is responsible for carrying out a monitoring plan for pesticides residues in fruits and vegetable wtih guarantee of the results and to be as a verification tool that BPA is fulfilled.
National Reference Laboratory:	It is an Official Control Laboratory according to National Legislation (Law 47 of plant protection 7 july of 1996)
