 Mandate of the Laboratory:

 The institute (INISAV) is part of the Agricultural Ministry, and
 this is the methodological and technical support of the
 activities related to the plant protection in Cuba, it has
 among their functions the scientific technical services, the
 research, the specialized consultantships and the normative
 methodological activity related with the use of pesticides and
 similar chemical compound in the country. 

 Role in the farm-to-fork chain:

 Technical support of the activities related with the
 determination of pesticides residues in food and
 environmental, to contribute to the implementation and
 evaluation of Good Agricultural Practices, to contribute to the
 rational and safe use of pesticides and to elevate the food 
 safety.
