 Mandate of the Laboratory:

La Agencia de Regulación y Control Fito y Zoosanitario – AGROCALIDAD una institución pública adscrita al Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería, es la encargada del control y regulación para la protección y el mejoramiento de la sanidad animal, sanidad vegetal e inocuidad alimentaria.

 Role in the farm-to-fork chain:

Brinda servicios de análisis físico, químicos en etapa primaria de producción de alimentos, balanceados, vegetales, frutas, piensos, agua. para asegurar la inocuidad delos alimentos.

 National Reference Laboratory:

El laboratorio de Bromatología es el laboratorio de referencia Nacional, en él se determina la calidad físico-química de los alimentos en su etapa primaria de producción.

Los resultados de análisis bromatológicos son utilizados por la Agencia para monitorear  y mejorar la inocuidad de los alimentos a nivel nacional.
